More than 30 years since the group's disbanding, its alumni return to Houston to play a tribute concert for the group's storied band leader Conrad O. Johnson, endearingly known as "Prof." The film explores the jazz-funk origins of the band, its rise to prominence and its enduring legacy in the South and beyond.
