NBA forward Blake Griffin likely fractured his hand after reportedly hitting a member of the Los Angeles Clippers’ equipment staff, ESPN reports.

Griffin, who plays for the Clippers, allegedly hit the man during the team’s restaurant stop in Toronto.

Griffin and the staff member got into an argument inside the restaurant, where Griffin first struck him, ESPN reports. Then the incident apparently trickled outside, where Griffin reportedly struck him again, according to the report.

Griffin’s hand is so messed up that it’ll likely keep him from playing for “a matter of weeks,” a source told ESPN. The source also said that the man’s face was injured and that Griffin and the man were on friendly terms, having vacationed together in the past.
