Prince Harry isn’t letting the cat out of the bag when it comes to whether or not Barack and Michelle Obama will receive an invite to his wedding with Meghan Markle, even though British gossip rags circulated news about a possible wedding invite diss because of Donald Trump’s jealousy.
Obama’s and Prince Harry’s BBC interview was conducted in September, before his engagement announcement, but in a post interview with the BBC this week, Harry shied away from giving away information about the invite list, basically because (allegedly) the couple has yet to finalize the attendees.
“We haven’t put the invites or the guest list together yet so who knows whether he’s going to be invited or not. I wouldn’t want to ruin that surprise,” Prince Harry stated.
The Obamas and Prince Harry’s friendship grew during Obama’s presidency, especially after the former first family showed support for the Invictus Games.
In addition to speaking about his upcoming nuptials, Prince Harry also gave insight into Markle’s first Christmas with the Royal Family.
“Oh it was fantastic, she really enjoyed it. The family loved having her there,” he said. One has to wonder where Markle’s own family fits in with all of this royal hoopla.
