Only weeks after being admitted to a hospital, boxing legend Muhammad Ali returned to the hospital Thursday night. Ali was hospitalized last month because of a severe urinary tract infection, and now he has been readmitted for follow-up care, according to the Associated Press.
Ali’s spokesman Bob Gunnell hopes that the former boxing champ will be able to return home by Saturday to celebrate his 73rd birthday with his family.
Over the last couple of years, Ali’s health has been on a decline related to his long-running battle with Parkinson’s disease. In November Ali made a rare appearance on social media to let his fans know that he’s in good spirits and feeling fine.
