There seems to be some internal drama going on between members of The Fugees following the announcement that the U.S. dates for the beloved group’s upcoming tour would be canceled.

Pras Michel has dissed the one and only Ms. Lauryn Hill in a song titled “Bar Mitzfa.” Obtained by TMZ, the track was not officially released on streaming services and was recorded last week.

In the song, Pras is heard saying, “Don’t blame me, blame her, she made the mess / Not another fucking penny is what I told ‘Clef.”

Pras also seemingly continued to take shots at Hill on his Instagram Story, writing, “Nobody will remember click bait beefs, your salary, how many Gucci bags you owned, bogus excuses. People will remember: how you made them feel, if you kept your word, if they could count on you, if you come on time!!”

Following the announcement that the tour would be canceled, Ms. Lauryn Hill took to social media, essentially blaming the media for creating a negative narrative about her and claiming that she loves performing for her fans.

“Last year, I faced an injury that necessitated the rescheduling of some of my shows,” she wrote. “Regrettably, some media outlet’s penchant for sensationalism and clickbait headlines have seemingly created a narrative that has affected ticket sales for the North American portion of the tour. The trust and faith I have in my intentions and my commitment to my art seem to have been overshadowed by this unfortunate portrayal.”

She continued, “Performing for my fans is a profound exchange of energy and emotion that excites me every time. Every show is a piece of my expression and testament to our connection and shared love of music. I can assure you that no one is more disappointed about not being able to perform than I am.”

She also added that the U.K. and Europe dates are still on for the upcoming tour.

It’s no secret that Ms. Hill has garnered a bad reputation due to the many times she’s been late or not shown up to live shows where she was supposed to perform. So even though she very well may not be behind the tour cancellation, that perception is already out there, and has been for years.
