While Usher might be the King of Las Vegas, his reign may just get cut short, as it appears a new queen might be headed to the legendary strip: Beyoncé

Per the New York Post, the 2023 Root 100 honoree has reportedly been in talks of starting a residency in the city in the iconic Las Vegas Sphere—a venue currently being used by band U2 for their 36-show residency. Both Bey’s mom Miss Tina Knowles and hubby Jay-Z have toured the sphere but in order to seal the deal, the folks in charge are looking at a $10 million price tag in order to lock things in. But before you go rolling your eyes at the cost, the “Cuff It” singer’s asking price is the same as U2's.

As previously and extensively covered by The Root, Beyoncé ended her Renaissance World Tour in October. As of now, she has no other performance dates lined up for 2024—that is unless and until this deal with the Sphere gets finalized. In the meantime though, the “Pure/Honey” singer is gearing up to release Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, slated to hit AMC theaters on Dec. 1.
