R&B songstress Monica plans to release her seventh studio album, New Life, next month, returning to a more mature sound that defined earlier parts of her career. The album's first official single, "Until It's Gone," with its sophisticated rhythm and slower tempo, was released last week to fanfare among devout Monica fans and R&B aficionados. Rap heavyweight Rick Ross makes an appearance on "Anything (to Find You)," while Missy Elliott and Jazmine Sullivan offered their production talent for the upcoming album.
With an adult tempo and an unabashed sultriness, Monica's New Life is worth the listen. Monica's New Life will be released Nov. 29.
