Latice Sutton, the mother of Mitice Richardson, who has been missing since last September, is suing Los Angeles County and sheriff's officials. You may recall that Sutton's daughter Mitice disappeared after she was released from police custody because of overcrowding. She had been arrested for an unpaid bill at Geoffrey's restaurant. The problem is that she had been acting strangely and was released with no purse, cell phone, wallet or car, which was impounded. Video footage shows her bizarre behavior while at the jail. The college graduate has not been seen or heard from since. In the suit, Sutton says the sheriff's department's "failure to give Ms. Richardson a medical or psychiatric evaluation" was negligent. It is believed that Richardson was bipolar. Guess it would have been too much for officials to call someone to at least pick her up. Maybe if her name was Mitzi instead of Mitrice, she would have been treated with an ounce of respect and common decency.
