Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey and Beyoncé Knowles topped Forbes’ list of the world’s most powerful women of 2015. The women join other entertainers, policymakers, businesswomen and philanthropists who made the list based on their influence and impact.

Other black women joining Obama (10), Winfrey (12) and Knowles (21) include Xerox Corp. CEO Ursula Burns (29), Attorney General Loretta Lynch (34), Ertharin Cousin of the United Nations (47), Nigerian Minister of Finance Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala (48), Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club CEO Rosalind Brewer (65), oil magnate Folorunsho Alakija (87), President and CEO of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Risa Lavizzo-Mourey (92) and President of Liberia Ellen Johnson Sirleaf (96).

The women who topped the list include German Chancellor Angela Merkel (1), U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton (2) and philanthropist Melinda Gates (3).
