There are far too many people out there who think they have a DM relationship with @TheAlmighty and then subject the rest of us to what they say His judgment is. After an earthquake rattled the east coast last week, a New York rabbi blamed it on the state’s same-sex marriage law. And over the weekend, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) shared her direct messages from God at a campaign stop in Florida.

“I don’t know how much God has to do to get the attention of the politicians. We’ve had an earthquake; we’ve had a hurricane. He said, ‘Are you going to start listening to me here?’ Listen to the American people because the American people are roaring right now. They know government is on a morbid obesity diet and we’ve got to rein in the spending.”

So, see if you can follow this logic without your head exploding. The American people are angry over government spending and the inattention of politicians to their concerns about it.
