Actors Meagan Good has been in the spotlight as of late for her starring role in the new Tyler Perry film “Divorce In The Black.” But a too-close-for-comfort interaction between Good and a former colleague had social media buzzing late Thursday afternoon.
A 30-second clip starring Ealy, Good, and her boyfriend, Jonathan Majors, went viral from the PowerPlayers Mix & Mingle event in Los Angeles. In the video, Ealy joyfully embraces a smiling Good, even lifting her up from the floor. Good even had to hold on to her hat, making sure Ealy didn’t knock it down with his enthusiasm.
Meanwhile, Majors couldn’t help but stand there and watch as his girlfriend and her co-star lit up the room. The clip posted by @NickHamilton213 now has over 14 million views on X.
If that wasn’t bad enough, the video continued with Ealy greeting several others near them, including L.A. rapper D Smoke, while ignoring Majors.... or that’s what the internet would have you believe.
In actuality, an extended clip from the event shows Ealy first greeted Majors with a casual side hug before going after Good. The full clip was shared by @LorenLorosa on X who said “we owe him an apology.”
As we all know, however, once you get the internet going, they never seem to stop. Instead, the shortened clip swarmed the internet with fans even drawing comparisons between the interaction and an old skit by comedian Druski.
@DragonflyJonez, another X user, wrote, “Bro took her on a ride. In front of her man. Weeeeeee.”
Majors didn’t let the green-eyed “Takers” star get him too down, though. Later in the night, the “Lovecraft Country” actor hit the dance floor at an afterparty event and starting cutting up to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”
Dressed in a blue-striped button down and suspenders, Majors was having the time of his life, and once again, the video of him went viral.
Another user said the actor danced like a “jive turkey.”
Despite Ealy and social media, it’s clear that Majors and Good had a blast celebrating her film, now out on Amazon Prime. Next time, though, Ealy better watch out.
