Look. I'd be lying if I said I heard of Michele Roberts, new head of the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) union, before today. Maybe some of you wonks or Washingtonians might have, but I hadn't. Still, despite knowing nothing about her outside of her bio on her firm's website, you have to be a Ceaser/Stringer/Leonidas/Lucy level bad-ass be a woman — a Black woman — and have a bunch of super alpha pro athletes basically say "Here are the keys to my life. And, since my entire family — including my seven kids and the barbers in each of the 17 barbershops I own — depends on me for income, the lives of my entire family as well."
Dean Keaton always said, "I don't believe in God, but I'm afraid of him."
Well I believe in God, and the only thing that scares me is Michele Roberts.
