Now that Bobbi Kristina Brown has died, an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of her death. A Georgia medical examiner, however, says that the procedure will likely be "challenging" because of how much time has passed since Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub.
According to the Associated Press, the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office released a statement Monday in which it expressed those concerns: "Interpretation of autopsy findings and other information will also be challenging. However, an autopsy could be helpful to address questions which may arise about the cause of her unresponsiveness and eventual death."
Brown was found facedown and unresponsive in a bathtub in January, eerily similar to how her mother, Whitney Houston, was found in February 2012, when relatives also found her unresponsive and submerged in a bathtub.
Brown, who had been comatose for the past six months, had recently been moved to hospice care. The medical examiner's statement also referenced the police investigation that will run parallel with the autopsy: "The Roswell Police Department continues its investigation into the circumstances preceding and surrounding the time of the original incident leading to her death."
