Doney Olivieri, 66, was arrested for allegedly assaulting a male student and exchanging inappropriate texts with another, according to the Washington Post.
Olivieri, a foreign-language teacher at DuVal High School in Lanham, Md., was charged with counts of second-degree assault and soliciting sex from a minor student. He has been placed on administrative leave by the school.
In a comment given over the phone after he was released on bail Tuesday, Olivieri said, "I didn't touch any student at all."
According to the Post, police interviewed a 16-year-old student who claimed that his teacher sexually assaulted him and also "squeezed him on the chest and asked him for a kiss in the classroom."
Apparently he also asked another student in the class for the victim's number, but the student gave him his number instead. Olivieri texted the student sexually explicit messages, assuming that he was communicating with the 16-year-old victim. Olivieri admitted to asking for sexual activities with the student when interviewed by police officers, according to the Post.
