Last month, Utah authorities arrested a small group of young men on alleged theft charges. However, one of those men was just identified as Master P’s son, and what he’s alleged of stealing will make you SMH.
Southern Utah University police received a report on Nov. 22 of refrigerators being stolen from the school bookstore, per KSL News Radio’s report. Authorities said three suspects were seen on security surveillance cameras days prior, loading the fridges into two vehicles.
Thanks to the footage and a few student directories, SUU police were able to identify 20-year-old Brock Felder, 25-year-old Peter Dadson and 24-year-old Hercy Miller, Master P’s son, as the suspects - all of which were members of the school’s Thunderbirds basketball team.
Police said they went to the apartment shared by two of the men and allegedly saw one of the stolen refrigerators through the glass window of the front door. The report says upon their arrest, all three allegedly confessed to the theft, saying they assumed the fridges were going to be thrown away. Dadson allegedly confessed to using his vehicle to transport one of the refrigerators and also that he’d been eyeing them for over a month.
There are no details as to whether the student athletes needed the refrigerators for themselves or just wanted to make a quick buck. However, each one had an estimated value of $1,500, the report says. Refrigerator theft is considered a third-degree felony in Utah. Though the three spent the night in jail upon their arrest, they were released on Thanksgiving day.
Thunderbirds coach Rob Jeter told TMZ he believed the situation was a “mix-up” and that “the university is working to get this thing resolved quickly.”
Luckily, there was a resolution: Miller’s case being dropped by the Iron County Attorney’s Office, per Complex. Though, a judge still has to approve the motion for dismissal.
