A graphic video of a New York City bodega shooting has made its way across the Web, showing what is now being reported as a rap-video filming turned bad.
According to the New York Daily News, the shooting occurred Saturday around 1:15 a.m. after two men, whom witnesses described as friends, began arguing during a rap-video shoot in the Bronx, N.Y.
Ali Abdul, 41, who, according to the Daily News, owns a deli on the block where the rap video was being shot, told the newspaper that the two men began arguing, and about 10 of the 30 people who had gathered for the filming made their way into the deli.
"They were fighting over who's the star, who's better," said Abdul. "They were drunk. They spit at each other, then one guy pulled out a gun and shot the other guy five times."
Abdul recognized both men as regulars at his store and told the newspaper that they appeared to be best friends prior to the altercation.
Police told the Daily News that a 37-year-old man was in critical condition with gunshots to the chest and leg. A bullet, police said, also grazed his head.
The video shows the man shoot toward the victim at least three times. He then pistol-whips the victim on his way out of the store. The video also shows some five people walking over the body of the victim, who was trembling on the deli floor.
The victim, who was taken to a nearby hospital, is expected to survive, according to the Daily News.
