New York City police are looking for a man who walked down a Bronx street and fired two shots at a 27-year-old-man who was standing in front of a store while kids played in the background, the Daily News reports.
Police told the newspaper that just after 8 p.m. Saturday, the gunman—described as a black man in a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and red sneakers—snuck up on his victim in front of a deli.
Surveillance video caught the violent attack. The gunman is shown slowly approaching an unsuspecting man, who bends forward as shots are fired and then runs in the direction of children, who can be seen in the footage skipping moments before the attack.
The victim, who suffered a chest wound, was taken to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition, the Daily News reports.
