Thw Washington Post is reporting that a man has been arrested for allegedly impersonating NFL quarterback Vince Young. Matt Zapotosky reports that Stephan Pittman of Fort Washington, Md., was charged with defrauding a woman who gave him $2,500 after he told her that the money would go to a foundation that does such things as provide hula hoops for neighborhood children, said Prince George's police spokeswoman Julie Parker.
Pittman met the 28-year-old woman in June on Facebook and apparently suggested that he was connected to Young, authorities said. The two began to meet at various places, including a club in the District. Pittman eventually told the woman he was the Eagles backup quarterback, Parker said.
Wow, they met on Facebook, and the woman doesn't have the good sense to Google Vince Young, who was a huge college star and dynamic NFL quarterback with the Tennessee Titans before heading to the Eagles? Young is all over the Web, and Pittman looks nothing like him. Pittman definitely has some explaining to do, and the "victim" should do some research next time.
