In a world full of uncertainty (and impeachment hearings, and climate change, and presidential campaigning, and voter suppression, and...) there is something we can always depend on, other than staying black, death and taxes: Monday will inevitably always be the most challenging day of the week.
That’s why we welcomed the adorable reprieve provided by 3-year-old Luna Legend, who Marie Claire reports encountered one of her personal heroes on Sunday when parents Chrissy Teigen and John Legend took her to see a performance of The Nutcracker at New York City’s American Ballet Theatre, starring Misty Copeland.
Call it one of the perks of celebrity to get to meet the principal ballerina after the performance, but Luna proved unjaded by her privilege when Copeland entered the room, staring with mouth agape while hiding beneath a chair—you know, like an average 3-year-old in awe.
But eventually, Luna—already dressed for the occasion—warmed up, got over her stage fright and joined daddy John on stage for a bit of dancing (OK, running) with her favorite dancer...and our frosty, Monday-weary hearts melted.
Is this what they call the holiday spirit?
