A Chicago family is asking for the public's help in their desperate search for a 20-year-old Loyola University student who has been missing from his home for a week. Chan Williams was last seen entering the Chicago Board of Trade Building on West Jackson Boulevard after it was closed. There is particular alarm because Williams has stopped taking medication, and this might leave him disoriented and unable to find his way home.

At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a black fleece jacket, black shirt, dark-gray athletic shorts, black socks and gray Puma shoes, according to the Campus Safety website.

Williams was reported missing by his father on Friday after growing concerns that the young man was not attending classes or responding to emails or phone calls. Chan Williams is about 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds.

"My nephew Chan Williams has been missing since last Thursday from his Chicago home," Williams' aunt Paula Madison told The Root. "He takes medication, but we now know he hasn't taken it for two weeks. Without his medication, his decision-making is impaired. Chan has lived in D.C., Chicago and Martha's Vineyard. The Chicago police have been immensely helpful. We'd ask anyone with any information to contact Chicago Police Department."
