Love & Hip Hop reality star Remy Ma is being shown no love by New York City prosecutors, who had her arrested Wednesday on charges she attacked her co-star Brittney Taylor last month.

Remy, government name Remy Smith, turned herself in to New York City police to face a misdemeanor assault charge for allegedly punching Taylor in the face during a concert at New York’s Irving Plaza April 16.

Remy denies the charge, saying through her attorney, Dawn Florio, that she never touched Taylor, the Associated Press reports.

Taylor reported the incident to police the next day, and said she suffered bruising to her right eye.

Remy was released on $1,500 bail and is to return to court May 24.

Prior to this latest allegation, Remy had been diligently rebranding herself as a paragon of sensibility and second chances since getting out of prison after serving six years for shooting a former friend in 2007.

She, along with husband, Papoose, joined the cast of Love & Hip-Hop and heralded “Black Love,” celebrating stable, loving relationships. They chronicled their struggles with fertility and the ultimate birth of their daughter, and even helmed a Christmas special for VH1: Remy & Papoose: A Merry Mackie Holiday.

Ironically, family is reportedly at the heart of the alleged dispute between Remy and Taylor, who, as The Root has reported, allegedly had words about an attack on Remy’s stepdaughter, DeJanae.

The 38-year-old Grammy-nominated rapper is still on parole for the 2007 attack.

And the work Remy has done to rehabilitate her image could all be for naught.
