Most of the fashion world (read: this writer) is still recovering from New York Fashion Week, but the die-hards among us subsequently made their way across the pond to see what the British are serving for Spring-Summer 2020, as London Fashion Week kicked off last Friday.

One of the first must-have tickets of the week? Naomi Campbell’s 14th annual Fashion For Relief runway show, which benefits employment programs for the younger members of London’s workforce through UNICEF and the Mayor’s Fund. Previously staged in Cannes during the famed film festival, this year’s event took place in Campbell’s hometown at the famed British Museum, where rapper Eve, now a Londoner as well as a fashion icon, was on hand to entertain the crowd at the afterparty.

“London is home to me now... which is kind of crazy to say out loud,” the expat told British Vogue. “But I love it here.”

In addition to the supermodel-heavy roster on the catwalk and the celeb-filled front row, Campbell opted to close the show with 30 students from an area school, who wore Fashion For Relief t-shirts as they walked the runway, “a closing note to remind onlookers of the greater impact the organization continues to have 14 years after its inception,” wrote Vogue. And reminding attendees that fashion and art aren’t just complimentary but synonymous, Vogue reports:

Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief fundraiser on Saturday night was as glamorous as expected...the auction alone brought in hundreds of thousands of pounds through the sale of pieces by Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali, Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin and Marina Abramović along with iconic photographs of Campbell taken by Ellen Von Unwerth and David Bailey.
