(The Root) — Lolo Jones' Twitter life has her in the news once again. When Georgia college student Harry Lyles Jr. tweeted the Olympian to ask her out, she agreed — but only if he could get 150,000 retweets.
Surprisingly, he succeeded, and true to her word, Jones agreed to go out with him.
It's a better look for the athlete in the world of social media, who just last week drew the scorn of thousands who were offended by a tweet she posted making fun of Rachel Jeantel, former friend of the late Trayvon Martin and embattled witness in the trial of his accused murderer.
If I get 150,000 RTs @lolojones will let me take her on a date! Help me out! pic.twitter.com/j9hFfxqlCi

Jones was asked about the date during an interview, in which she formally accepted (around the 3:00 mark).
