On April 18, 2019, The Toxic Masculinity Brigade held an emergency meeting after receiving a press release informing them that the “real ass bitch, give a fuck about a nigga” lyric that has annoyed their ashen spirits has been brought to you by none other than Lil Yachty.

That’s right, a whole ass man helped write the very lyrics that is part of the dreaded black feminist agenda. Sound the alarms (at your mom’s house)!

“When it came out, people was so shocked and they didn’t believe it,” Yachty, born Miles McCollum, told Kerwin Frost in an interview. “I wrote the whole song, except for J.T.’s last verse. But everything that everyone is singing, I wrote the whole thing.”

“I always wanted to write a song for somebody. And I did it, and when it blew up I felt so good,” Yachty added, noting “Act Up” was the first song he ever wrote for an artist other than himself. “Because people always try to discredit me. So when I seen it, I realized now I get my credit a different way.”

Of course, because masculinity so fragile, Yachty’s primary prep — even prior to the necessary mic check — was making sure his heterosexuality was in tact before spitting what he claims “women like to hear.”

“Before I went in [the booth], I said, ‘no homo, y’all,” Yachty recalled.

Sigh.
