Ready to die? An iconic piece of the Notorious B.I.G.’s signature style is rumored to have been remixed for a new generation. On Monday, Versace was reportedly set to release an updated version of its well-known Biggie Frame, inspired by the legendary rapper (who was also a huge fan of the classic Greca frame). According to urban style site Hypebeast:
The new model sports an updated low-lens front shape with unmistakable wide-style temples, complete with the very same gold metal Medusa medallions made famous by the late Bad Boy rapper. Set to a retail price of $295 USD, these new Versace Biggie Frames will be offered exclusively through Barney’s and will be available in-store, as well as its online shop starting on October 8 for one month only.
As of press time, the shades weren’t yet available at Barney’s or Versace’s website, but we’ve seen no signs of them being sold out, either. Bottom line: if this is a piece of hip-hop history you’d like to get your hands on, we suggest staying on the lookout, because they will not stay in stock long.
