Blues legend B.B. King has been hospitalized for dehydration caused by his Type 2 diabetes. King’s daughter Claudette told the Los Angeles Times on Monday that her father is “doing much better” but remains hospitalized for observation.
King, 89, still tours occasionally, but his health has been an issue. In October he got sick during a show and canceled the remainder of his tour because of similar issues with dehydration.
The musician, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, was diagnosed with diabetes more than 20 years ago.
