The list of Latino Major League Baseball players who say they will refuse to play in the 2011 All-Star game if it is held in Arizona is getting longer. The Milwaukee Brewers' All-Star pitcher Yavoni Gallardo says, "If the game is in Arizona, I will totally boycott." Gallardo joins Detroit Tigers relief pitcher Jose Valverde, Toronto outfielder Jose Bautista and other Latino MLB players who plan to boycott the state for passing SB 1070. On Monday, protesters gathered a block away from the MLB's hotel for the All-Star Game. The bill actually becomes a law on July 28. Organizers claimed to have more than 100,000 signed petitions asking commissioner Bud Selig to relocate next year's game to a more brown-friendly state. They may not need those signatures if enough Latino MLB players step up to the plate and say enough is enough.
