NFL veteran Kordell Stewart has filed a lawsuit against an Atlanta man who claimed they had an affair.
Earlier this month, Andrew Caldwell, the man who claimed that he prayed the gay away, alleged that he was in a relationship with Stewart during a radio-show appearance.
“I dated Kordell,” Caldwell said in the interview.
“I had everything that Porsha got. I had bags, purses, cars. I’m in a Jaguar right now. Honey, did you see that Jaguar over there?” Caldwell bragged, comparing himself to Stewart’s ex-wife, Porsha Stewart.
When Kordell Stewart got wind of the interview, he adamantly denied ever knowing Caldwell and proclaimed that he is heterosexual.
“I’m a heterosexual man,” Stewart stated. Stewart also went on to say that Caldwell is delusional and that he had never heard of the man.
“There’s no room in my personality for that lifestyle. It’s not what I believe in. I’m a heterosexual man,” Stewart continued.
On Thursday, Stewart filed a lawsuit against Caldwell in DeKalb County Superior Court and also named Jarrius Keyun Moon, the owner of the Internet radio show The ShakeUp, on which Caldwell made the statements referred to in the lawsuit.
“At all times during his life, Mr. Stewart has been, and is, a heterosexual male,” the suit states.
“The false and defamatory rumors that Mr. Caldwell and defendant Moon agreed to publish are centered around Mr. Stewart having an extramarital, sexual relationship with Mr. Caldwell,” it states.
On Thursday, in a statement to TMZ, Caldwell admitted that he lied about dating Stewart. “It’s true, I never dated Kordell. But I’m not worried about the lawsuit. If Kordell wants money, he has money. I don’t owe him a dime,” Caldwell stated.
Stewart’s lawsuit seeks “general and special damages for … loss of earnings, emotional distress and impairment to his reputation.”
Caldwell also insinuated that he may file his own lawsuit against Stewart, because he apparently lives in bizarro world.
