In her rant, Burrell referred to “the perverted homosexual spirit,” and that didn’t sit well with plenty of people, including Pharrell Williams and DeGeneres. Burrell was supposed to appear on Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show later this week to sing her song that is featured on the Hidden Figures movie soundtrack.

On Tuesday, DeGeneres tweeted: “For those asking, Kim Burrell will not be appearing on my show.”

Burrell published a video about her rant, but did not apologize for it: “I love you and God loves you, but God hates the sin in you and me,” she said.

God also said, “Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”

So there’s that.
