Kerry Washington is notoriously hush-hush about her private life, so what a surprise when she stepped out with her husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, at the Golden Globes after-party.

According to the Huffington Post, the couple was spotted partying at the Weinstein Co. and Netflix party at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday. Washington, who was dressed in "Olivia Pope white," was heard introducing Asomugha to actress Melonie Diaz, who starred in Fruitvale Station.

Washington, dressed in a custom Balenciaga gown that flaunted her growing belly, fondly spoke before the party about the little gladiator being her "best date." "I feel like I have the best date of the night, my little accessory here," she told E! News on the red carpet.

Washington and Asomugha, who have been remarkably private and tight-lipped about their relationship, were married in a surprise wedding in June 2013 in Idaho, an event that went unnoticed by many.

The Huffington Post cites a 2013 Glamour magazine interview in which Washington explained why she wasn't more forthcoming about her personal life. "I’m walking around in the world with my ring. And when people say congratulations, I say thank you. But I’m going to continue to not talk about it and just let it unfold," she said. "I don’t want to sound smug about it … but the point is to do what’s best for me. I have girlfriends in this business who talk about their personal lives, and it works for them, and I love it. But not for me."
