Kellyanne Conway Is Back, and My Heart Is Full

The best thing about FBI Director James Comey’s firing is that it brought Kellyanne Conway back, and I can’t lie: I’ve missed her. Sean “Spicy Facts” Spicer has gotten a bit better at dodging questions about this dodgy-ass administration, but Conway is pure.

Conway really is purely unaware of how to handle, talk about, discuss the constant stream of craziness that comes from this Phaedra Parks-ass administration. I’ve missed her clueless double-talk and babbling answers. I’ve missed her stringy-blond mop and her goofy responses. I’ve missed watching more experienced news anchors berating her. It’s a blood sport, and I’m here for it.

I was on overload when Kellyanne and Spicy were both making the rounds, and then, like a whisper or food poisoning, Kellyanne was gone, and I was sad and unsure why.

So Kellyanne hit the airwaves Tuesday shortly after news of Comey’s firing, and it only took minutes for CNN’s Anderson Cooper to look at her like, “What the fuck is she talking about?” And my heart was aflutter because I needed this.

“As a candidate, Donald Trump praised James Comey,” Cooper said. “Donald Trump talked about this on the campaign all the time. All of a sudden the White House is concerned about James Comey’s handling of Hillary Clinton’s email?”

“You’re going back to the campaign,” Conway said, CNN reports. “This man is president of the United States.”

Cooper then couldn’t help himself: “That makes no sense,” he said.
