Though Keke Palmer has been been mostly quiet in the days following the shocking domestic abuse allegations she filed against her then-boyfriend Darius Jackson, she finally spoke out over the weekend.
In a post to Instagram, the KeyTV creator put up a video of her holding her 9-month-old son Leodis as a camera circles her and Nicki Minaj’s verse from her song “Seeing Green” plays in the background.
“When reality TV makes everyone believe that all celebrities lives are just one bog marketing strategy and scheme but my life is truly unraveling at the seams and I just wear trauma like a dolce gabana [sic] coat because Sharon didn’t raise no b***h,” the caption reads.
This comes just days after Perry and former “Insecure” actress DomiNque Perry exchanged encouraging words toward each other amid their respective relationship issues. To help jog your memory, Perry shares 5-year-old daughter Zen with Sarunas J. Jackson, Jackson’s older brother.
Perry recently filed a petition alleging that she has “experienced emotional volatility, intimidation, bullying, undeserved stress, mental and physical abuse, controlling and narcissistic behavior, all over the past 5 plus years from Sarunas and his family.”
Palmer sparked a firestorm of social media debates when she filed for a temporary restraining order against Jackson, accusing him of domestic violence. After weeks of messy headlines, Palmer and Jackson recently decided to reschedule the restraining order hearing and take their issues to a mediator.
Though Palmer’s content in itself may have somewhat a humorous aspect to it, it should be noted that dealing with domestic abuse, intimidation and bullying — whether privately or in the public eye — is no laughing matter.
