Kanye West hasn’t announced the ticket he’ll run on during the 2020 presidential elections, but the rapper will perform at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser next month. According to NBC, West will attend the Oct. 10 San Francisco DNC fundraiser and “is expected to perform songs from his latest album, Swish.”
President Barack Obama is also scheduled to appear at the event, and one can only wonder what will transpire between the president and West. In 2009, President Obama referred to West as a “jackass,” after the rapper interrupted Taylor Swift during the MTV Music Video Awards. But maybe that incident is water under the bridge now?
Tickets for the DNC event won’t come cheap, and I suppose West’s price to perform didn’t, either. Ranging from $250 to $10,000, West better give these people a performance of a lifetime. And also shake enough hands to get some supporters for his 2020 run.
