We guess making music runs in the family.

Not only was North West present for the listening party of her Kanye West’s upcoming album, “Vultures 2,” but she also announced some news of her own.

Standing alongside Kanye, the 10-year-old said, “I’ve been working on an album and it is called ‘Elementary School Dropout,’” before leaving the stage with her dad.

The name of the project is a clear ode to her father’s debut album, “College Dropout.”

Although the announcement of an official release may seem shocking to some, Kanye has allowed his daughter to express herself musically throughout the years.

Four years ago, during her father’s Yeezy Fashion show, she performed an original song as models walked the runway.

Just this year, she had a verse on the Ye & Ty Dolla $ign track, “Talking / Once Again,” which she also performed live two months ago during the “Vultures. Pt. 1" listening party.

On the track, she can be heard rapping, “I love it here/We gonna take over the year for another year/It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie/Don’t tryna test me/It’s gonna get messy/It’s gonna get messy/Just, just bless me.”

That sounds like appropriate lyrics to come out of a pre-teen’s mouth.

But despite the excitement of some fans who were present for the announcement, the name of the album has already caused some controversy, with some on social media hoping the title of isn’t factual.

This could also be an issue due to Ye’s recent comments about the school his children are attending. At the end of February, in a now-deleted Instagram post, Kanye wrote, “KIM TAKE MY KIDS OUT OF SIERRA CANYON NOW IT’S A FAKE SCHOOL FOR CELEBRITIES THAT ARE USED BY ‘THE SYSTEM.”

In the caption, he added, “At this point everybody knows what ‘the system’ is code word for. I was removed from my dad by the system and the system removed me from my children. When the system drafts athletes they avoid working with those who have their father in their life because they are harder to manipulate My two oldest know they daddy.”

For North’s sake, let’s hope that she stays in school.
