The 2016 election took the wind out of most of our sails because it led us into a presidency that’s just so ... orange. But not all hope is lost. It’s been a year since y’all elected Toupee Fiasco as president, but this year’s elections proved that maybe—just maybe—Americans know how to vote for change.
It was a beautiful thing to see the Democrats rebuke Donald Trump and his minions, scoring gubernatorial victories in Virginia and New Jersey, as well as several other diverse winnings across the United States. It was almost as if Shonda Rhimes cast these new positions, as transgender women, people of color and cis women unseated incumbents who were mostly white men.
On this week’s Judge of Characters, we’re rooting for everyone black—well, everyone diverse—and praising America for waking up ... kinda.
