Judge Belvin Perry has sentenced Casey Anthony to one year each for "four separate and distinct lies" told to police officers while they were investigating the disappearance of her daughter.
Anthony, who walked into the courtroom smiling and wearing casual clothing, literally let her hair down when she sat down. The initially chipper woman seemed withdrawn after learning from no-nonsense Judge Belvin Perry Jr. that she would not go home today.
The judge who handed down the sentence will meet with prosecutors and Anthony's attorney Jose Baez to determine the exact amount of time that she has left to serve, depending on good time and "gain time." It is expected that she will go home within 30 days.
Anthony lied to police about where she worked, the existence of a nanny, receiving a phone call from Caylee Anthony and ostensibly sending police on a wild-goose chase. She was acquitted of the murder of her daughter, Caylee Anthony, earlier this week.
