MSNBC media personality Joy Reid is going viral for her unabashed commentary that she made on Super Tuesday. As it becomes increasingly clear that Trump will be the Republican presidential nominee in the upcoming election, folks continue to address the racism he possesses as well as his followers.
Though there is data that proves the biggest Trump supporters stand by him even though it works against their own economic and personal interests, conservatives are livid that Reid called a thing a thing.
“Republican voters don’t vote that way...they don’t vote based on economics or based on the benefits they’re getting economically from the President. They’re increasingly—from the Tea Party on—they’re voting on race,” she stated. “They’re voting on this idea of an ‘invasion’ of brown people over the border.
“The idea that they can’t get whatever job they want...a Black person got it therefore drive all the Blacks out of the colleges. Get rid of DEI...that is what they’re voting on...just voting specifically on racial animus at this stage. It isn’t about economics.”
Reid is just stating the obvious. Right-wingers like Charlie Kirk commented “With zero evidence, facts, or statistics, bigot Joy Reid says on MSNBC that Republicans are not voting on economics, but on race.” However, there is a slew of evidence, facts and statistics that support what Reid is saying.
Furthermore, the host never said “white people” when talking about the GOP. She said Republicans, which includes Black people and non-Black people of color who sign on to do the work of white supremacy. Reid also said Trump didn’t do his job when he was President and fumbled the pandemic when he needed to step up.
“The reason he doesn’t look old like Biden does is because the presidency ages you when you do the job. Obama went gray because he did the work in Donald Trump looks the same as when he started is because he was playing golf the whole time.” Reid is known for being straight-forward and her candid delivery continues to strike a nerve.
