To say that Jon Stewart and Jessica Williams “went in” on the McKinney, Texas, pool incident on Monday night’s The Daily Show would be an understatement. The talk show host blasted Cpl. Eric Casebolt, the cop who assaulted a 15-year-old girl who was wearing a bikini, during a segment about the incident.

“He's telling her to get her ass on the ground, and I believe it is literally on the ground,” Stewart said. “Not only is he being an asshole, he’s redundant.”

“Asshole” would also be another understatement

But on the bright side, which you have to try really hard to see, Williams, who served as the show’s “senior Texas aquatics correspondent,” noted that the video showed some progress.

“A cop pulled a gun on a group of black kids and nobody is dead,” Williams said.

Yay?

It’s a sad day when you have to praise the fact that a cop didn’t kill yet another black person while doing his “job.”
