Michael Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson, 83, has been hospitalized after suffering a stroke, but he says he’s “fine,” OnTheRed Carpet.com reports. The patriarch of the musical family, who has survived previous similar incidents, is expected to be released on Friday.

The family patriarch told ABC News on Thursday, November 29 that he is was treated at a medical center in Las Vegas and is expected to go home on Friday. Joe has diabetes and had also survived a stroke in 1998.

CNN is reporting that the stroke was “mild” and that a source says Jackson is “in very good spirits.”
