The family patriarch told ABC News on Thursday, November 29 that he is was treated at a medical center in Las Vegas and is expected to go home on Friday. Joe has diabetes and had also survived a stroke in 1998.

He is known for his past role as manager of the Jackson 5, the group that made Michael an international a child star. He had a strained relationship with the King of Pop, who said in interviews that his dad physically abused him.

CNN is reporting that the stroke was “mild” and that a source says Jackson is “in very good spirits.”
