Joe Budden has been missing in action as of late from Complex’s daily show Everyday Struggle. Many thought the Slaughterhouse rapper was being replaced temporarily by guests on the show he co-hosts with DJ Akademiks and Nadeska Alexis as he took care of his newborn baby with girlfriend Cyn Santana. But according to tweets from Budden, he will not be returning to the show because of “internal chaos,” and on Tuesday Complex confirmed that news.
Complex told Billboard on Tuesday: “Joe Budden is not continuing as a host on Everyday Struggle in 2018. The show will be back in the New Year with all new episodes and guests. We wish Joe all the best and thank him for a great 2017.”
Everyday Struggle debuted in April as a morning show on which Budden, Akademiks and Alexis debated the latest topics in hip-hop. Many are of the belief that Budden is the draw for the show, and his absence will lead to the show’s failure.
In his tweets, Budden noted that his contract with Complex was up. Complex told Billboard, “We love and respect him; we believe he’s terrific, but the reality is we couldn’t reach an agreement.”
Complex did not reveal an immediate plan to replace Budden and says it will continue to use guest hosts in the new year.
Meanwhile, Budden voiced his concerns via a series of subtweets on Twitter:
And his fans stood up for him:
Good luck in your future endeavors, Joey.
