Even though Jeremy Meeks is serving a little over two years in prison on gun and gang charges, he has his sights set on a modeling career once his time is up. Meeks and his model looks skyrocketed to viralness after his mug shot was posted online earlier last year when he was arrested in Stockton, Calif., on weapons possession and one gang charge.

But now Meeks says he’s turning over a new leaf and is trying to keep his nose clean in prison so he can get an early release.

“I’m in a place where I will be able to provide for my family and really change my life,” he told ABC News. “I never thought that everyone in the world would recognize me for my looks, so I feel extremely blessed and very thankful.”

As far as Meeks’ modeling career goes, he’s represented by Jim Jordan of White Cross Management, and he’s focusing on getting his body in shape. “I eat healthy. I do a lot of pushups, pullups, dips, burpees, and I stay very active,” he told ABC.

Meeks’ agent said he’s working to set Meeks up with agencies across the world, as well as endorsement deals and reality-TV shows.

Meeks’ dream is to actually act and appear on Sons of Anarchy.

Meeks was sentenced last month to 27 months and is serving his time in a Nevada prison. He hopes that he’ll get out in November for good behavior and time served.
