Janet Jackson may soon be crooning the words of Cheryl “Pepsii” Riley to Wissam Al Mana: “Thanks for my child.” The iconic pop star has reportedly split with her billionaire husband, just a few months after she gave birth to a little boy in January.
The New York Post’s Page Six reports that Jackson and hubby Al Mana decided to split because the Qatari businessman was supposedly very controlling, dictating her clothing, dance moves and appearances in public. The last straw, allegedly, was when the 41-year-old showed little to no concern about her mother Katherine Jackson’s reports of elder abuse.
Anyone who’s listened to Control knows Janet doesn’t play that.
Jackson postponed her Unbreakable world concert tour last spring, explaining, “My husband and I are planning our family.”
The two married in 2012, and Jackson reportedly converted to Islam. She gave birth to a son, Eissa (Jesus in Arabic), on Jan. 3 at the age of 50.
Al Mana is Janet’s third husband. She briefly married James DeBarge in the ’80s (that marriage was annulled) and wed Rene Elizondo Jr. in 1991.
