From the time Sean “Spicy Facts” Spicer received the position of White House press secretary, I’ve been trying to decide whether he’s an idiot. Sure, taking a position in this bumbling administration requires a certain level of stupidity, but I’m still stuck on whether or not Spicer is an actual idiot.
I can’t decipher whether the stupid shit he says is what he actually believes or if trying to be a mouthpiece for this president just has Spicy Facts sounding idiotic. Either way, two things are almost certain: Spicy Facts can’t keep his foot out of his mouth, and his latest comments will probably mark the end of his run as White House press secretary.
Look, I’ve been right before. I said that Devin Nunes knew that he needed to recuse himself from the House Intelligence Committee, and he did. I’ll admit that calling that one was kind of like calling Mike Tyson against Michael Spinks, but I was right!
Spicy’s better days are behind him, and at this point, even he has to know that he’s out of his depth. His latest attempts to paint Syrian President Bashar Assad as worse than Adolf Hitler ended up making him sound like a Hitler apologist. I mean, he called concentration camps Holocaust centers!
This job requires a certain level of finesse (as the kids say), and Spicy doesn’t have it. He’s volatile. He doesn’t have the acumen to carry the administration’s brash “I don’t give a shit” attitude. If anything, for all of President TrumPutin’s reckless cowboy swag, Spicy is just a sweaty frat boy who appears as if he doesn’t want to be in front of reporters answering questions that he doesn’t have the answers to.
Now Spicy is on an all-out apology tour.
Spicy told MSNBC’s Greta Van Susteren “I’ve let the president down” during a forum at Washington, D.C.’s Newseum, NBC News reports. “I sought people’s forgiveness because I screwed up,” he said.
But before we get all the feels for Spicy, screw this guy. He’s the same guy who told an Indian-American woman who asked him how it feels to work for a fascist that “it’s such a great country that allows you to be here.” He’s also the same guy who told a black female journalist to stop shaking her head. He fully knew what he was getting himself into when he took this job, but he’s not faring well.
President TrumPutin is dependent on his press person to be his voice. He’s also dependent on his press person to sell his presidency. The press person’s job, at least with this administration, is to legitimize its ridiculousness, and Spicy is having a hard time as of late.
My advice to Spicy is this: Once you are done apologizing for your dumb-ass comments, just go right into your resignation. There something else out there for you.
