Before we begin, how is it already July? As in, we’re in the later half of the year. What is time?!

Anyway.

A new month means new black content at Netflix, via its Strong Black Lead. The black-centered platform has been recently dedicated to licensing classic films for us to enjoy. Basically, being heroes.

Next up, A Thin Line Between Love and Hate. Those of us who saw the film during its first iteration (in 1996) may realize our initial opinions about certain characters may have changed. Life experience is a bitch.

Returning in the Netflix Original Series slate is Stranger Things 3, a season in which Priah Ferguson (who portrays Erica Sinclair) will truly get to shine, reportedly. I mean, look at this little cutie in her fashionable blossoming! A star. Season 3 of Stranger Things premieres on July 4.

Plus, Orange Is The New Black will begin its seventh and final season on July 26. That’s right, it’ll be the end of the Crazy Eyes (Uzo Aduba) saga. The trailer features a quick sighting of Poussey (Samira Wiley), so I’m fully expecting a flashback scene to honor a character that everyone is still pissed about losing (especially in such a manner).

If you’re looking for some feel-good content, Family Reunion boasts a cast of Tia Mowry, Loretta Devine and Richard Roundtree.

Oh, and I need more info about this Kinky project. Insert emoji-eyes here.

‘Til next month, my fellow black ass bingers!
