Benjamin Netanyahu and Barack Obama were bound to bump heads eventually. Reuters is reporting that the Israeli Prime Minister has little interest in Obama's all for a settlement freeze and said in a speech Monday that Israel would continue to build within Jewish settlements in occupied territory. Not wanting to come off as entirely defiant, Israeli officials have said that Netanyahu might possibly consider easing the blockade of the Hamas-controlled Gaza strip. While the politicians involved keep their hands cleaned and their suits pressed, the people affected have begun to get rowdy again. Jewish settlers in the area have taken to burning Palestinian fields and throwing stones at passing motorists, actions that are sure to be met with reprisal.
