It’s never too early for high schoolers to begin thinking about college. So ABC News reports that Malia Obama may have an eye toward Stanford University, even though she will be starting her high school junior year in a few weeks.
The television news station reports that the elder first daughter recently wore “a Stanford University T-shirt while on a bike ride with her parents in Martha’s Vineyard.”
ABC raised the question because, well, Malia, who has been visiting colleges, “recently visited both the University of California, Berkeley and Stanford,” the report says.
Currently, she attends the same Washington, D.C.-area high school as former first daughter Chelsea Clinton, who went on to Stanford. Is this potentially a pattern for first daughters? Or will she follow in one of her parents’ footsteps? We'll have to wait to see. The president received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University, while the first lady received hers from Princeton University.
