(The Root) — Giants safety Antrel Rolle apologized on Twitter for his response to the reports that Miami Dolphins player Richie Inconito repeatedly bullied his teammate, Jonathan Martin.

Well, he sort of apologized. At a WFAN appearance on Tuesday, Rolle said, "Was Richie Incognito wrong? Absolutely. But I think the other guy [Martin] is as much to blame as Richie because he has allowed it to happen. At this level, you’re a man. You’re not a little boy. You’re not a freshman in college. You’re a man. I think everything has its limits. There’s no way another man is gong to make me pay for something that I don’t want to pay for. [Martin needs to] take awareness of the fact you’re a grown-ass man. You need to stand up for yourself. Hazing is one thing; bullying is another.”

Victim blaming much? Yep. Rolle caught some flak for alleging that Martin should have been the one to prevent this abuse, so he took to Twitter to say something along the lines of, “I'm sorry but not really, and I stand by what I said the first time.”

I love when doubling down counts as apologizing, don't you?
