On Monday (August 12), Tesla founder Elon Musk welcomed Donald Trump back to X with an interview that was full of the former president’s detestable lies about Vice President Kamala Harris. Though he was banned under the popular app’s previous owner, under Musk he was allowed back on.
Trump, who is palpably upset about how Harris becoming the Democratic presidential nominee instead of President Joe Biden has reinvigorated voters and threw an unexpected wrench in his plans for a second tenure at the White House, has gone out of his way to lie on the Vice President.
When he’s not busy intentionally mispronouncing “Kamala,” he is calling Harris a “bitch” behind closed doors. In public, Trump’s emboldened misogynoir has led him to ask if she’s “really Black” and questioning her intelligence.
With Musk, he called Harris “incompetent” and last week at a rally in Montana said that “America cannot survive for four more years of this bumbling communist lunatic.” His name-calling is offset by his blatant falsehoods about Harris which he once again repeated during last night’s talk with Musk.
Trump dubbed her “the border czar,” even though she was responsible for dealing with the root causes of migration in Central America as opposed to border security. He also wrongly blamed the Biden-Harris administration for the slew of criminal cases against him because it “went after their political opponent.”
In reality, several cases were brought by state or local prosecutors against Trump which means the Justice Department had no connection to them. Other cases were supervised by a special counsel to avoid any perceived conflict of interest from any political entities whatsoever.
On his Truth Social platform, Trump has also lamented about how the crowd sizes at Harris’ campaign rallies are inflated—which is another lie he pulls from his arsenal to make himself feel better about his flailing campaign.
“If Kamala has 1,000 people at a Rally, the Press goes ‘crazy,’ and talks about how ‘big’ it was - And she pays for her ‘Crowd. When I have a Rally, and 100,000 people show up, the Fake News doesn’t talk about it, THEY REFUSE TO MENTION CROWD SIZE. The Fake News is the Enemy of the People!” Trump stated last week.
The attacks on Harris will only become greater from the Trump campaign—he simply has no other strategy but lying to win.
