The New York attorney who recently filed lawsuits on behalf of three men who accused Sean “Diddy” Combs of drugging and sexually assaulting them has finally spoken out about each case. However, who he compared Combs to is even more disturbing.

Thomas Giuffra’s name was plastered all over the news last week after filhe filed lawsuits against Combs on behalf of three John Doe’s. In an exclusive interview with CNN, the attorney spoke on what compelled him to file given the already-large list of suits Houston attorney Tony Buzbee has filed against the rapper. His reasoning was partly because the “pattern” of the allegations reminded him of another, particularly sinister case.

“Whenever you have a serial abuser, they follow a pattern. Harvey Weinstein had a pattern. Sean Combs has a pattern,” Giuffra told CNN. “With all three of them, the stories are a little different. But the pattern is always the same. ‘Come into my orbit. Have a drink.’ You get woozy, take a rest [and] wake up to being sodomized.”

Weinstein is currently doing time at Rikers Island on rape charges following a bombshell report from The New York Times and The New Yorker recording dozens of sex abuse accusations against the producer.

Attorney for three men accusing Diddy of rape speaks out

The attorney went on to say that within each of the three accusations, there was a detail that stuck with him which compelled him to forward. He then cited the lawsuit of one John Doe who claimed while he was allegedly being raped by Combs, the rapper said “I’m almost done. Hold still,” as he tried to resist.

“That struck me. That was a powerful recollection. Just the rawness and the arrogance, actually,” Giuffra said to CNN.

In response to the Weinstein jab, the producer’s attorney told TMZ the comparison between the two was “reckless and irresponsible.”

“It is an outright lie to say that Harvey Weinstein had a pattern of drugging women and sexual abusing them. Not one accuser of Mr. Weinstein’s ever alleged that. The difference in the allegations between Mr. Weinstein and Mr. Combs could not be any more different,” said attorney Arthur Aidala via TMZ.

These three John Doe lawsuits are the most recent to come against the rapper, though, even more are expected to come in. Tony Buzbee said in an Oct. 1 press conference that he’s representing 120 individuals — men and women — who claimed to have been drugged, sexually assaulted, raped or threatened by Combs. Some alleged victims claimed to be minors at the time of the incidents. Out of the pool, over a dozen anonymous plaintiffs have filed their lawsuits, per court records.

Many of the suits, filed since 2023, have been civil. However, Combs faces criminal charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and engaging in interstate transportation for prostitution in federal court. He has pleaded not guilty, and was denied bail three times.
