Actress Theresa Randle is most well known to fans for her roles in the “Bad Boys” movies, “Space Jam” and “Girl 6.” However in recent years, she’s made headlines for her health struggles and legal issues more than her work in film and television.
According to TMZ, the “Malcolm X” actress found herself in legal hot water recently when she was arrested for felony assault. The situation began Oct. 5 when police received an alleged assault call from a Los Angeles area home. When they arrived, Randle wasn’t there, but they took a report.
When they were called to the same location two days later for “a possible domestic issue and a potential restraining order violation,” Randle was then arrested in connection to the Oct. 5 assault charges. The outlet’s sources say “the actress was irate and far from cooperative during the booking process.”
As serious as this situation is, Randle may have lucked out, because when she appeared in court Oct. 9, “the D.A. rejected the case.”
When she was seen using a walker in 2023, fans began to wonder about Randle’s health. There have been no public comments on her recent issues, but her absence from the most recent “Bad Boys” film certainly led to even more speculation. Tasha Smith took over the role of Marcus’ wife Therese in “Bad Boys: Ride or Die.”
On social media, fans were shocked at the news, but also offered support, with many sending “prayers.”
One person expressed their regret at Randle’s current circumstances, writing on X, “This is sad .. she’s such a brilliant actress.”
Someone else asked if there is a connection to her struggles and the lapse in her career, posting, “I wonder if her behavior has anything to do with her not being in the most recent Bad Boys movie. Probably not. I always liked her as an actress and as Marcus wife in the Bad Boys movies.”
Let’s hope Randle gets the time and privacy to focus on herself away from public scrutiny.
